Deciduous small tree. Young leaves are crimson copper. Profuse wine-red flowers,slightly fragrant, in spring, followed by blood-red fruit. Flowers profusely from a young age. Adapts to a wide range of soil types but prefers a deep, well-drained soil in full to part sun.
