Description:
Deciduous small tree with spreading habit. Dark, glossy green foliage with five distinctly round lobes. Produces masses of tiny, double scarlet flowers in tight clusters along the branches in late spring, and in autumn leaves colour burnt orange and burgandy. Has minimal thorns. A very hardy tree,adaptable to almost any well-drained location, including clay soils but prefers a lime rich soil and dislikes extremely dry conditions. Suitable for street planting, hedging or as a specimen.
