Birch - Purple
Dark glossy foliage with red veins. Unusually for a birch the leaves turn vivid orange red before falling in Autumn. Bark transitions from black to creamy white with age. Best colour achieved in full sun.

Prefers well drained humus rich soil. Adaptable to a wide range of soil pH and will tolerate short periods of dry and wet.
