Advanced trees and hedging

Brag Book

Welcome to our Brag Book. The albums below show some of the places Winter Hill trees have been planted. Click to see an album showing scrolling pictures of the projects and trees in more detail.

The Armidale School (TAS)

The Armidale School (TAS) needed to replace trees along the front entrance of the school and were looking for mature trees to create an instant impact. Winter Hill supplied 1000 litre Pin Oaks. These images follow the journey of the trees from Winter Hill to their new home in Armidale.

Pitt Street mall, Sydney

Eleven 400 litre Ulmus Parvifolia (Chinese Elm) were selected by City of Sydney Council representatives on site at Winter Hill Tree Farm in 2009. The trees were supplied by Winter Hill Tree Farm in September 2010 in time for the grand opening of the new Westfield Complex.

Planting and presentation

We were invited to photograph the planting of Winter Hill trees at this property by Project Manager and Landscaper Peter Klopfer. Initially a bare paddock a return visit just six months later shows the instant impact achieved with mature trees. These photos show the planting process and the final spectacular result.

Wingecarribee Shire Council

Looking for only the highest quality trees Wingecarribee Shire Council have planted a wide variety of Winter Hill trees to landscape major intersections and public roads including Pyrus (Pear) and Prunus Blireana (Plum). Winter Hill trees have also been planted along the Wingecarribee Shire Council section of the Remembrance Driveway running between Sydney and Canberra.

Loreto Normanhurst School

When the historic Oak tree at the front entrance of Loreto Normanhurst had to be removed they visited Winter Hill to identify the perfect replacement tree. A massive 1000+ litre Oak was chosen and planted in a special school ceremony.

Large Rural Garden

This five acre block represented a blank canvas for the owner who wanted an 'instant' garden. Within a month of first contacting Winter Hill Tree Farm a wide variety of 400 litre mature trees were chosen and delivered…on a very windy day!

Residential Development

Winter Hill Tree Farm has supplied mature trees for residential and other large developments including nursing homes and retirement living complexes as well as Housing Commission developments as featured in these pictures.

NSW Government 'Green Street Program'

In 2010 Winter Hill Tree Farm was awarded approved supplier status for the NSW Government Department of Housing 'Green Street Program'. The $30 million tree planting project will see more than 15,000 advanced trees planted in social housing estates. Winter Hill supplied these trees for the Green Street project in the Western Sydney suburb of Cranebrook.

Private Sydney Residence

A selection of Camellia Sasanqua, mature Buxus Microphylla Faulkner (Japanese box), Olea (olive trees), Magnolia Grandiflora Little Gem and Acer Palmatum Senkaki (Coral Bark Maple) were supplied to make an instant statement at this private residence in Sydney.

Private Garden Projects

A garden is often developed over time. These pictures show a selection of fabulous private gardens where advanced Winter Hill trees and hedging have been planted successively over a number of years. A big tree will deliver instant effect but that doesn't mean they all have to be planted at once!

Council Projects

In 2011 Winter Hill Tree Farm supplied Forbes Shire Council with a number of 75 litre Pyrus Chanticleers for their CBD makeover.
