Botanical Name:
Elaeocarpus reticulatus 'Prima Donna'
Common Name:
Ash - Blueberry - Pink flower
Description:
This hardy evergreen and versatile native can be used as a standalone tree but is often used as a hedge, screen or windbreak that offers eye-catching features year-round. From Spring through to January it is covered in masses of perfumed fringed pink flowers (often called fairy petticoats). New growth in Spring emerges with touches of red, bronze before turning green. Then from April until November it is covered in small blue berries tucked within the green foliage. For a variety of Blueberry Ash suitable for smaller spaces with a white flower we also stock 'Green Dream'
