Water Gum - Luscious

A statement hardy evergreen tree often used as native alternative for Magnolia Little Gem. Large glossy green leaves with a dense rounded form that can easily be prined to suit compact spaces. In Spring new growth has attractive copper red edges before turning fresh glossy green and from Spring long into Summer it is covered in fragrant clusters of small yellow flowers. Even the bark is a feature as younger plants and branches have deep purple bark that peels with age to reveal mottled cream stem beneath.
